In the coming months Iterchimica will take part in the European project GreeNexUS, funded by the Horizon Europe programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions.
The project proposes an innovative and multidisciplinary approach to promote urban greening, territorial regeneration and accessibility of urban infrastructures, while addressing climate change and preventing pandemics from exacerbating inequalities in disadvantaged and vulnerable groups.
10 candidates will be selected to undertake a PhD in 10 specific multidisciplinary fields. There are 8 partners involved who will host the PhD candidates and 12 associated partners who will support the development of the project: Iterchimica is among the latter.
In fact, our company is involved in two of the ten projects (DC9 and DC10): the first deals with ‘Impact Absorbing Pavements with Improved Accessibility Features (IAP)’, while the second ‘Sustainable Bio-pavements for Low-emitting Urban Surfaces (SUBLUS)’.
The PhD student selected for the SUBLUS project will be hosted at our company to spend a period of study and research of about two months.
We are proud to take part in this initiative: we have always supported students and doctoral candidates who want to deepen their understanding of concepts related to the asphalt pavement sector in order to promote sustainable strategies and actions also in the infrastructure field.
The call will be open until June the 4th, 2023.
