National EcoForum 2023

From 4 to 6 July last, in Rome, at the Hotel Quirinale, the XNUMXth edition of the national EcoForum entitled "Circular Economy: work in progress" was held, organized by Legambiente, Kyoto Club e The New Ecology.

What emerges from this edition is our country's need to accelerate the pace of the circular economy, overcoming bureaucratic and technological obstacles that slow down this new model of economic development.

There are 5 priorities that Legambiente asks of the BUT IF to implement: first of all, it is necessary to increase the plant capacity and the recycling and reuse of products, adopting the "Zero waste, thousand plants" strategy, discourage the disposal of waste in landfills, activate policies to support companies that already invest in practices recycling, support local authorities receiving PNRR funding and, finally, build a national supply chain for critical raw materials.

On Wednesday 5 July also Eng. Loretta Venturini, Scientific and Strategic Development Director of Iterchimica, provided her contribution to the work with a presentation focused on the theme of recycling and reuse of end-of-life materials in the road paving sector, bringing the case histories to the public's attention relating to the works on the A4 Brescia-Padua, on the A4 Turin-Milan and on the San Giorgio Bridge in Genoa.

You can review , here the intervention of Eng. Venturini.
