A new project to build longer-lasting road surfaces takes place in Essex

A new work has begun in Essex in order to completely change the way public highways are resurfaced. The project is being undertaken by Ringway Jacobs and Essex County Council in Chelmsford.

Gipave®: sustainable asphalt for A2A’s waste-to-energy plant

Gipave, the green and hi-tech technology for asphalts, was used for the resurfacing of 4000 square metres in the internal transit areas of A2A’s Brescia waste-to-energy plant.

Gipave®’s benefits also confirmed by research at the University of Nottingham

Kent County Council (KCC) and its partners at Amey have been working in collaboration with the Nottingham Transportation Engineering Centre at the University of Nottingham to understand the challenges, properties, and the feasibility of using Gipave to repair and resurface the county’s pavements.

Gipave® and Superplast ECO have obtained the Second Life Plastic brand

Iterchimica’s products Gipave® and Superplast Eco have obtained the certification “Second Life Plastic” from the IPPR – Istituto per la Promozione delle Plastiche da Riciclo (Institute for the Promotion of Recycled Plastics).

Second trial of Gipave® takes place in Oxfordshire

Following the success of the first Gipave® trial in the UK in 2019, Milestone Infrastructure has continued working with Oxfordshire County Council, Aggregate Industries and Iterchimica to develop the use of innovative materials to improve roads while reducing whole life carbon outputs. This has led the team to trial Gipave on Marsh Lane in Oxford, which carries around 10,000 vehicles a day.

Rome tests the first completely sustainable cycle path with 100% cold recycled asphalt

A green and innovative technology has been tested in Rome on two sections of a cycle path, precisely in via del Campo Boario and in via Nicola Zabaglia.
